Selfiani Widyaning Rusman, “Development of a Web-Based Accounting Information System for the
Purchasing and Inventory Subsystem at CV Andika Mustika.” Applied Bachelor’s Thesis,
Computerized Accounting Study Program, Accounting Department, Politeknik Negeri Semarang,
supervised by Sarana, S.E., M.Si. and Ahmad Wafa Mansur, S.ST., M.IM., August 2026, 174 pages.
CV Andika Mustika is an iron and steel distribution company that still records
purchasing and inventory transactions using Microsoft Excel and separate
documents. This condition creates risks of recording errors, data duplication,
discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records, difficulties in
monitoring stock in real time, and delays in report preparation. This study aims to
analyze the existing business processes and to design, develop, and test a web-based
accounting information system for the purchasing and inventory subsystem
according to the company’s operational requirements. Data were collected through
interviews, documentation, and a literature review. The system was developed
using the prototype method with the Laravel framework, PHP programming
language, and MySQL database. The developed system integrates item and supplier
data management, inventory monitoring, Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order,
Goods Receipt, automatic inventory updates, purchase transaction recording,
supplier invoice verification, cash and credit purchase information, initial accounts
payable information, and purchasing and inventory reports. The system was tested
using Black Box Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing. The
results showed that all major functions operated according to the specified
requirements and produced the expected outputs. The system was considered
suitable for supporting purchasing and inventory processes and is capable of
improving data integration, reducing the risk of recording errors, facilitating stock
monitoring, and accelerating report preparation.
