Analisis Tingkat Produktivitas Pekerjaan Bored Pile Gedung EGS AI Kota Batam = Analysis of Bored Pile Work Productivity Levels for the EGS AI Building in Batam City
Bored piles are a foundation type widely used in data centers due to their ability to support the massive operational loads of such structures. During the construction of the EGS AI Data Center, bored pile operations encountered soil conditions where drilling intersected the groundwater table, causing borehole walls to collapse without stabilization. The solution adopted was the "wet method," involving the injection of bentonite slurry into the borehole to act as a hydrostatic stabilizer; this counteracted pressure and prevented wall collapse when drilling through high groundwater levels. Construction productivity was measured using the "unit completed method" an ideal approach for tasks lacking sub-tasks, or where sub-tasks are easily quantifiable and the analysis process is rapid. The factors investigated include environment, equipment, labor, materials, and management.
Analysis of actual heavy equipment productivity over a 43-day observation period revealed an average rate of 2.13 m/hour per unit. Regarding operational constraints, the analysis identified a loss of 104 effective work hours during the construction of 242 foundation points. Overall project management proved highly effective, successfully beating the schedule by advancing the completion date by one month—to April 8, 2026—facilitated by the addition of extra drilling rigs during the final phase of work
