Employee work engagement has become a critical factor in maintaining service
quality, productivity, and organizational sustainability, particularly within the
outsourcing industry where employees frequently encounter dynamic work demands
and diverse workplace environments. This study examined the influence of self-
efficacy and perceived organizational support on employee work engagement at PT
Deta Sukses Makmur. A quantitative research approach was employed using a
survey method. The population consisted of 2,756 employees, from which 100
respondents were selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected
using structured questionnaires and analyzed through Multiple Linear Regression
with IBM SPSS Statistics 27. The findings revealed that Self-Efficacy exerted a
positive and significant effect on Employee Work Engagement (β = 0.554; p <
0.001), indicating that employees with stronger confidence in their abilities
demonstrated higher levels of vigor, dedication, and absorption in their work.
Perceived Organizational Support also showed a positive and significant influence
on Employee Work Engagement (β = 0.298; p = 0.001), suggesting that employees
who perceived greater organizational care, recognition, and support were more
likely to be engaged in their jobs. Simultaneously, both variables significantly
contributed to Employee Work Engagement, with the regression model explaining
43.5% of the variance in the dependent variable (Adjusted R² = 0.435). The results
further indicated that Self-Efficacy was the strongest predictor of work engagement.
These findings highlight the importance of strengthening employees’ confidence,
competencies, and adaptability while maintaining supportive organizational
practices to foster higher levels of employee engagement in outsourcing
organizations.
