The purposes of this final project are; to describe the procedure in filling using numeric system at Planning Section in PDAM Tirta Moedal Branch of West Semarang, to describe the equipment and supplies used in filling system, to overcome the existing shortage of the filling of customer’s archive. The data were collected by interview, observation, which was done in Planning Section, and library study by reading the books and documents.
Archive is information of any activities that has been recorded in any media: paper, photographs, videos, pictures, tapes, or other electronic media that is stored for the purposes of the organization and can be retrieved easily at any time when it is needed.
The Planning Section in PDAM Tirta Moedal Branch of West Semarang uses some filling systems, among others; are the chronology system and numeric system. The chronology filling system is used for archive that has save period for one year. While numeric filling system is used fo archive from chronology filling system that has save period more than one year. Therefore, the implementation of archive filling system must be practiced exactly according the rule of filling system in PDAM Tirta Moedal Branch of West Semarang.
